Many people go through each day not feeling like themselves. Most of the time, people feel anxious or depressed, sometimes for no apparent reason. Other times, they suffer with persistent ailments, such as migraines or back pain and become so worn out that they are always fatigued and stressed.

There are things that you can do to bring your body back into a state of balance naturally. It seems that our bodies are constantly over-stimulated by things that we put on and in them every day. Eliminating these things that cause us harm and replacing them with better alternatives can do a great job of detoxifying and purifying the body from the inside out.

Eliminate Caffeine

You probably do not want to hear it, but the truth is that caffeine really isn’t good for you. While you may rely upon it every day to get started and to keep yourself going, you also probably recognize your addiction. If you skip your normal dose of coffee for just one day, for example, you may get a headache.

To purify the body, switch to decaffeinated coffee that is made from coffee beans that are decaffeinated using the purest method, which is the Swiss Water Process. This will help you avoid ingesting by-products of chemicals that are used to decaffeinate the beans. Another option is to drink more tea. While there is caffeine in tea, it is not nearly as high as it is in coffee. Once you get through the first few days without caffeine and your withdrawal symptoms have passed, you will hopefully notice, as long as you are getting enough sleep at night, that you no longer need the caffeine.

Get Active

No matter what you do for a living or how much free time you have, make sure you take some time out each day, or at least several days per week, to do something active that you enjoy. Whether you want to lift weights, go for a jog in the park, take an aerobics class, or do some yoga, the important thing is that you get active. By moving the body, you get the lymphatic system flowing. This is the system responsible for catching and eliminating toxins from the body. If it is not working properly because you aren’t active enough and it has become congested, you will suffer the consequences of illness.

Ditch the Drugs and Alcohol

Drugs and alcohol stimulate or relax the body and get in the way of your thought processes, often causing you to make poor decisions. Dependency that develops from drugs and alcohol causes your body to focus more on the cravings than on taking care of itself and illness can result.

To get yourself clean you must put your mind to it and know that you are stronger than any craving. Ask for help from substance abuse rehabilitation groups, friends and family who care. Once you’re clean, you’ll notice your body will be stronger, your mind will be sharper, and you will be more vibrant overall.
